CLASP published a research paper in the ACEEE 2020 Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings in India. The paper reviews first-of-its-kind nationwide research, carried out in 2018, that encompassed an urban residential end-use survey of 5,000 households and real-time appliance energy use monitoring of 200 households.

In 2019, CLASP carried out an inter-laboratory comparison exercise in Vietnam—an exercise to assess regional testing capacity of air conditioners and promote more accurate, consistent, and reproducible tests. The Round Robin Testing Report summarizes the RRT exercise findings, analysis results, and recommendations to improve the testing procedures and processes.
CLASP worked with PwC India to conduct comprehensive technology and market assessments for air compressors in India, to inform efficiency standards development and a labeling program. Using both surveys and in-person interviews of manufacturers and their associations, we examined the air compressor market in order to understand product segmentation, projected growth rates, and prevalent technologies.
