VeraSol
VeraSol is a global quality assurance program, striving to make off-grid solar solutions safe, durable, and affordable.
About VeraSol
VeraSol is a global quality assurance program that helps protect consumers and buyers of solar products by making sure solar energy kits and appliances are safe, reliable, and perform as promised. Its goal is to reduce investor risk and strengthen consumer trust in solar technologies, helping the market grow and scale so that 300 million people living in energy poverty can access reliable electricity by 2030.
VeraSol, formerly the World Bank’s Lighting Global Quality Assurance program, creates the technical foundation for product quality evaluations by developing testing procedures and standards. It also works with test partners to evaluate product quality and confirm that products meet quality requirements, ensuring consumers receive safe, reliable products they can trust.
VeraSol shares clear, comparable, and actionable data with companies, investors and governments to help them make informed decisions.
