Sarabjot has 14 years of experience working with sub-national and national entities across India. His expertise spans climate change mitigation, energy efficiency, decentralized renewable energy, and electric mobility. Prior to joining CLASP, Sarabjot served as a Mitigation Analyst at UNDP, where he led the implementation of low-carbon transition technologies in the secondary steel sector and facilitated the deployment of over 450 decentralized renewable energy systems across the country. Sarabjot has also worked with GIZ, where he led initiatives to promote sustainable practices in MSME clusters across India and helped build local ecosystems to adopt energy-efficient technologies. Prior to that, he worked with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), supporting the design and implementation of key national programs, including Demand Side Management and industrial energy efficiency. Sarabjot holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a Master’s with a focus on Economics and Statistics. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle.
