Gyanesh Gupta

Gyanesh is a Senior Associate with CLASP’s climate team. He is an energy and sustainability professional with over seven years of experience in building energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainable built environments. A Mechanical Engineer by training, he holds a Master’s degree in Energy and a Ph.D. in Energy and Environment from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. His doctoral research focused on benchmarking the energy performance of residential buildings.

Over the years, Gyanesh has worked at the intersection of research and policy, contributing to initiatives such as sub-national net-zero transition scenarios and decarbonization roadmaps.

Outside of work, Gyanesh enjoys watching action movies and spending quality time with his family.
