A native of Brazil, Edilaine resides in Campinas, São Paulo. She holds a PhD in Science & Technology Policies and has an extensive academic and consultancy background. Edilaine brings over 15 years of experience working as a researcher, professor, and consultant in the fields of energy transition and industrial policies, assisting the Brazilian government in both policy strategy and implementation. Throughout her research career, Edilaine has received several grants from local and international agencies. She has also worked closely with the United Nations, multilateral development banks, UK government departments, and other non-governmental organizations. Edilaine is excited to formally join the CLASP team, and to use her skills and experience to manage the new office and drive growth of the Brazil Program.
Outside of work, Edilaine is the proud mother of Pedro (9) and Maria Luiza (4) and enjoys cooking and reading to her kids. She also loves traveling, exploring new places, and interacting with people from different cultures.
