Towett is an investor, entrepreneur and venture builder with close to a decade of experience supporting early-stage and growth-stage companies in scaling across Sub-Saharan Africa in various sectors, which include energy access and clean tech. He brings expertise in pipeline sourcing, business model design, investor readiness, and ecosystem partnerships to drive market development in emerging contexts. He has been with 54 Collective, supporting early-stage companies; AHL Venture Partners, focusing on growth-stage companies; 17 Asset Management, working with impact funds; and Uthabiti Health (built & exited), solving for safe medicines. He is an MSc graduate of Queen Mary University of London, a BSc graduate of Moi University and a postgraduate trainee from the University of Cambridge (leading change), the Swedish Institute (impact pioneer) and UCT (impact investing). He is an awardee of H.M. Queen Elizabeth (QYL Award), a Chevening scholar and a Rhodes Scholar finalist. During his free time, he enjoys mechanics, breaking and fixing simple engines.
