Bishal has worked with a wide range of public and private sector clients across the entire energy supply chain, including in energy markets, price forecasting, energy efficiency, distributed energy, policy, and regulatory reform. He also supported Energy Efficiency Services Limited, India on the super energy-efficient air conditioner program and helped operationalize its national energy efficiency chiller program. Over the last few years, he has supported the Government of Nepal to prepare and adopt a national energy efficiency strategy. He also brings experience in the design, implementation and financing of distributed energy systems, having worked extensively with on- and off-grid solar solutions. Outside of work, Bishal is an avid writer, frequently focusing on political and social issues. He holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland and an undergraduate degree in economics, mathematics, and political science from Monmouth College.
