Divya brings over five years of research and academic experience in electricity demand, climate change, and clean energy. Prior to joining CLASP, she worked with CSEP, a public policy think tank in New Delhi, where she conducted research on electricity sector decarbonization and time-of-day (TOD) demand and supply issues. She holds a doctorate in energy economics from TERI School of Advanced Studies, Delhi, and has presented her research at prestigious national and international conferences. During her PhD, she analyzed data related to Indian residential electricity consumption, focusing on appliance energy efficiency and consumer adoption behavior towards star-labeled appliances.

Outside of work, Divya enjoys spending time with her family and staying fit. She also has a passion for dancing and playing musical instruments.
