Jatin Mathur is a policy professional with three years of experience across various domains of public policy and a specialization in energy governance. At CLASP, Jatin will support research and analysis work in the Clean Energy Access (CEA) Program as a Fellow. Prior to CLASP, Jatin was involved with the National Economic Forum (NEF), where he conducted research on issues around sustainability, the digital economy & trade, and welfare policies. Additionally, he has undertaken policy research internships for flagship organizations like UNDP, CEEW, EY India, and Prayas (Energy Group), focusing on sectors such as energy, environment, trade, and livelihoods.

Holding a Master’s degree in Public Policy (MPP) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and Environmental Law and Policy from the National Law University (NLU) Delhi, Jatin has cultivated a rich, interdisciplinary academic foundation in policy research and analysis. His work on a CEEW report on decentralized renewable energy (DRE) solutions has been published and presented at the 4th Energy Transition Working Group (ETWG) Meeting of the G20 2023, under India’s presidency. Outside of work, Jatin enjoys trekking in the mountains, visiting national parks, and reading history.
